Names meaning strength and courage
Arabic doesn't reach for grandness when it names a strong child. It reaches for animals — the lion most of all, because the lion is the one a tribe respected without flattering itself. Hamza, Asad, Haidar, Arsalan — all of these are lions. There are leopards too (Fahd), eagles (Haitham), falcons (Shaheen). And there are the names that mean strong without picturing anything: the mountain Harun, the steadfast Rakan, the brave young man Yiğit. Houdhoud has been careful here to leave out names that are divine attributes — the Mighty, the All-Able — because those carry a different responsibility.
